Enter the pixel dimensions
Use the image's true pixel width and height, not the size shown on screen at a given zoom level. You can enter a single edge and leave height blank.
PX to inches · Print sizing
Convert any pixel width and height to inches. Enter the pixel dimensions and a PPI value to read the exact print size in inches, centimeters and millimeters, calculated in your browser.
inches = pixels ÷ PPIPixel to print size
1920 × 1080 px at 300 PPI prints at 6.4 × 3.6 in.
Method · 01
Pixels become inches only when you also know the resolution. PPI (pixels per inch) tells you how many pixels sit in every printed inch, so the same pixel count can print at different physical sizes.
Use the image's true pixel width and height, not the size shown on screen at a given zoom level. You can enter a single edge and leave height blank.
Use the value your printer or workflow expects. 300 PPI suits close-viewed detail, while 150 PPI is common for larger pieces seen from farther away.
Each edge in inches equals that edge in pixels divided by PPI. 3000 pixels ÷ 300 PPI = 10 inches; 1080 pixels ÷ 300 PPI = 3.6 inches.
Quick reference · 02
| Pixel width | At 96 PPI | At 150 PPI | At 300 PPI |
|---|---|---|---|
| 600 px | 6.25 in | 4 in | 2 in |
| 1080 px | 11.25 in | 7.2 in | 3.6 in |
| 1920 px | 20 in | 12.8 in | 6.4 in |
| 3000 px | 31.25 in | 20 in | 10 in |
| 4000 px | 41.67 in | 26.67 in | 13.33 in |

The arithmetic is identical, but the PPI you choose changes with the output. The calculator reports inches, centimeters and millimeters so you can match any workflow.
300 PPI is a common target for detailed, close-viewed prints. Confirm the value your service or printer expects before exporting.
Posters and banners seen from several feet away can use a lower PPI, which lets the same pixels cover a larger surface.
For on-screen sizing, 72 or 96 PPI is a common reference. Compare the result with your CSS pixel target rather than a print spec.
If you already know the target print size and want the pixel dimensions instead, use the inches to pixels converter. To pick a practical resolution first, see the printing guide, and for an explanation of the two terms read PPI vs DPI.

Questions · 04
Divide the pixel dimension by the PPI value. 3000 pixels at 300 PPI is 10 inches; 1080 pixels at 300 PPI is 3.6 inches.
It depends on PPI: 1080 pixels is 11.25 in at 96 PPI, 7.2 in at 150 PPI and 3.6 in at 300 PPI.
No. PPI changes the planned physical size, not the number of pixels. Resampling is a separate step that adds or removes pixels.
300 PPI for close-viewed detail, around 150 PPI for large-format work viewed from a distance, and 72–96 PPI for screen-size comparisons. Always check the printer's requirement.
